Zelas' Journal Entry #3 (Session 19)

She loves me... she actually loves me.  This has to be one of the best days I will ever have, the day that I know Canna loves me.  And of course I love her back, I can't imagine my future with out her anymore, but knowing she shares the feeling sends me to heaven when I think of it.  Though I suppose I am getting a bit ahead of myself in the sake of this journal, but fuck it, she loves me.  To clarify from last time, it was what I thought was wrong and I seemed to have helped her through it a bit.  She seems a bit more at ease now and happier in general.
But I should say where we are at this point.  We had traveled to the Fey Wild once again to the Winter Queen's palace to have Dahlia examined on her possession.  The Winter Queen did some magic thing she said was scrying to find the dracolich inside Dahlia.  She apparently found what she was looking for, but right before she could remove it the lich took over Dahlia and said doing what the Winter Queen would do would mean the death of Dahlia, so everything stopped right there.  The Winter Queen said she needed a little more information before she could continue and need to put Dahlia in a senseless state, almost as if she was in a coma.  After some more magic stuff and a rest, she said that we would need three objects before we could continue with removing the lich.  The closest to obtain was in her enemies territory, where she had a truce currently declared for the time being, so we would have to go there since we bear no mark of her and could infiltrate.  I also asked her of my curse from the greater succubus, but I don't think I will get much more out of her then I did Darek.
So off we set to the caves of a self proclaimed hag queen, to find a crystal.  Traveling there was nothing much, just had to go through some thick forests which was tiring.  And to say these forests are creepy is an understatement, they moved as we attempted to hack through them at one point, but we thought better of forcing our way through like that.  We reached the cave of the hag queen and it had three entrances, which Serriah picked which one to go in.  Apparently one was a dummy entrance, another had much larger monsters going into them, and one real entrance which we went into, how the hell she can spot which one is which is lost on me.  In the caves we found lizard men, and by hell they stunk.  Apparently living in this cave gave them a stench so foul that I could hardly bear being next to one.  They weren't extremely tough, just smelled of filth.  But then hags started to appear, and I don't know what it was, but just being remotely close to them was painful.  With whispers radiating from them, echoing in my mind, they were a force to be reckoned with, but death found them quickly and the whispers stopped.  There was also a monster with giant tentacles that lashed out upon me... but it died before it could do any damage so wasn't very noteworthy.
   It all went to shit once we found the hag queen.  I have no idea what happened only that we got hurt rather badly.  We spread out a bit to attack targets, another one of those tentacle things came out and was killed quickly again.  Then I don't remember much, I know I did something but the only thing I can remember is how cold the floor of the cave felt.  I remember having to get away from the hag queen and attacking something else, but I think I was just barely holding on to conciousnes at that point.  In the end I saw enemies dead and Canna out of shape and barely conscious as well.  I tried to comfort her, but I bet we just looked like a mess.  Fuck this cave, I hope it collapses.

P.S. Gold bracelets and necklaces found upon hags, after a good cleaning they should fetch a nice price.  Also we got that crystal thing and miniature statue things.
