Well... I did it, I confessed to the rest about what happened with Xellia since last time. Though I don't have a clear answer to why I lied, they still understood and didn't seem to hold any major grudge against me on it. Though Darek seemed to be a bit more snarky about it, but he was using it as a joke and not trying to go against me and I do deserve it for what I hid. Later in the day after telling everyone I decided to ask Darek about the actual curse the demon bitch holds against me and to see if he can dispel the effect. On that night he told me that Xellia wasn't a normal succubi but a greater succubi with stronger abilities then that of the lower tiers. I'm slightly flattered that I gained the favor of a higher up, but why couldn't it be a princess or queen, at least then I get access to the treasury room.
Darek told me the curse can be broken in a few different manners, easiest being kill the whore, which I can't do myself. Next is to get an item imbued with the power of a god, which isn't going to happen in the world we live in now... Unless there is a hidden temple some where that has a dormant item, which I highly doubt we will come across. Another method is to transfer the curse to someone else and let them deal with the demon. I liked that one, because not only would I be rid of the curse I could strike her down myself and see the life escape her, but Darek is not going to put another being in risk so that is out of the question. Last method is odd, Darek says he knows of a ritual to prevent being cursed by a succubus, but since the one after me is stronger, the ritual would only make the kiss of the curse be as strong as a normal succubus, which would then expire in twenty-four hours. So in order to remove it, I would have to get it reapplied to me then stay away for a day, which may sound easy, but I fear the next kiss might take over my mind and then I would be with her til the ritual wears off and I would be trapped.
We managed to make our way from Welgard back down to Winter Haven with little difficulty, and we had our wolves again, so the trip took less time and I didn't have to walk nearly as far. Once in Winter Haven we had a meeting on where and when the meeting with Jadeis was going to happen, against what I said everyone wanted to be in the inn full of innocent bystanders. I don't know why they wanted to bring the evil of this man to the town but I was out voted so there it was. And when Canna smashed the red crystal to send the message, she froze still. According to her, she was transferred to the Astral Plane, which screwed if I know what that was, from what I gathered, her mind left her body to another place and she could talk there. Of course the person she talked to had to be Xellia, so I am sure she taunted her as per the norm for that demon. But she also said that the meeting would take place in the ruins near by the town, the ruins in which was saw Szartharaxx so long ago... I think I may need to make a supplemental entry so who ever reads this knows what we did before hand... Which everyone seemed to be fine with at the time.
So in those three days time we had before the meeting, Canna and I went off to West Gate again. I went there to sell those gold necklaces we found on the spider's victims from last time and her to see if there was anymore information on... what she wanted information on. In the inn she did find a note to her, the note she was waiting for. We went up to a room and she read it to herself. She said that it was the answer she was expecting though looked down from it. I let her be at this point since she was expecting it and I figured she would work it out, though I don't believe that worked... I am going to have to have talk to her about it. After that though she payed off One-eyed Pete to see if he can't find information on Saritha and if she is still alive and where her parents might be at this time. Also she sent off a letter with Glyssa to be taken down south of the wall, I wonder what this letter pertains to. After that we headed off back to Winter Haven to get ready for the meeting with Jadeis.
This is where things fell apart a bit. When we arrived we saw the Eldritch Knights from the Winter Court in the inn. Apparently they have been looking for us ever since Canna smashed one of those crystals to send them a message. Poor bastards, we move around more then fleas on a dog's back. They were there to take the one infected with the Dragon Lich to the Winter Queen for inspection, which means they had no idea which one it was, until Canna said Dahlia straight out. I could have swore I heard someone slapping themselves after she said that. With news of this we held another meeting. While we were gone Darek and the others scouted out the new meeting location and found new information we didn't have back when we first saw it. Apparently in that room there is an inscribed circle that can be used to open a portal to another realm, this one in specific leads to the primordial one of the fire cultists, which Jadeis is the head of.
So thus began another discussion, should we have the meeting now, should we move the location on him, should we go to the Winter Court instead now that that is an option. It started off fine, but the multitudes of directions we could go seem to wear on everyone, especially Canna. Canna actually began yelling at Darek and in return he yelled back, this is the first time I seen them yell at each other with malicious intent. Canna then proceeded to leave the room and everyone else seemed to be stunned in silence. I quickly took over the decision process and we decided to go to the Winter Court, once that was achieved I went off to go find Canna and tell her this. Though she had left the inn already and was heading for the Winter Court now by herself. Serriah went off to go get Canna and I stayed back to tell everyone, I told the captain of the knights just one more night before we set off so we can calm down from what just happened. Something is wrong with Canna, I think I know the reason why...
P.S. Those four gold necklaces sold for 380 gold pieces, which is 76 gold pieces each
